Harvest Festival 5K New Market's Harvest Festival takes place the first weekend in October each year and kicks off with a 5K followed by live music, food, vendors and games to celebrate the beginning of Autumn!

Christmas in New MarketIt’s the most wonderful time of the year! Ring in the Christmas season with us on December 4th with our annual 'Christmas in New Market' event. Festivities begin with our annual parade down Main Street at 3 PM. Follow the stilt walkers to Candy Cane Lane for a host of outdoor vendors and food trucks. Santa will be inside the Grange ready to smile for pics with your children! Enjoy light shopping and crafting along Main and then the return of our legendary Silent Christmas Tree Auction at Old Town Hall. The party culminates at the park where Valerie Vinson will lead us for carols until ol' St. Nick arrives in style on a #15 fire truck to light the tree! Plus, a live nativity with local residents. Come out and soak up some Christmas spirit in our charming little town this season!
